Sea Turtle expert, Wallace J. Nichols
Sunday, December 11 · 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
TURTLE: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY is the story of a little loggerhead turtle, which follows in the path of her ancestors on one of the most extraordinary journeys in the natural world.
Wallace J Nichols will speak before and after the film, discussing our emotional connection to the ocean and animals like sea turtles, and how that connection can compel us to align our "love of nature" with the way we live.
Laura Kasa, Executive Director of the leading advocacy group, Save Our Shores -- (www.saveourshores.org) -- will have an informational table display.

Born on a beach in Florida, the turtle rides the Gulf Stream all the way to the frozen north and ultimately swims around the entire North Atlantic to Africa and back to the beach where she was born. But the odds are stacked against her; just one in 10,000 thousand turtles survive the journey.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to LIVEBLUE
and other non-profit partners to help protect our coast, oceans and sea turtles.
