For the past six years we have challenged water lovers around the world to get near, in, on or under water daily for 100 days (from Memorial Day through Labor Day)...and they have shared their stories and photos using the #bluemind hashtag. Thousands have participated and turned Blue Mind into a global movement.
Now it's time to take our challenge to the next level.
Specifically, we're calling on schools, educators, health care facilities and practioners, and all enviromental organizations working to protect oceans, lakes and rivers to update their missions to include "blue mind" science.
What if...
...every child knew their own blue mind?
...all health professionals prescribed and facilitated blue mind therapy?
...conservation organizations updated their messaging to build a bigger, wider and more diverse blue movement?
...achitects and designers created spaces with blue mind qualities?
...real estate agents and planners took blue mind benefits into account?
...parents taught their kids about the vast lifelong cognitive, emotional, psychological, social, physical and spiritual health benefits of water?
We think this is not only possible but critical and necessary to living well on a water-based planet.
So, take the Blue Mind Challenge and share your progress and new blue habits with the world.
