You’re invited to Save Our Shores’ annual dinner and dance gala, Toast to the Coast!
This year’s celebration takes place on September 13 at the breathtaking Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, and features dinner, entertainment, exciting auctions, and a program to remember. Guests will mingle with like-minded ocean advocates as the sun sets, and then dance the night away.
The fun begins at 5 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction in Merrill Hall.
Then at 6:30 p.m., guests will enjoy a buffet dinner featuring sustainable local and organic fare, followed by a live auction with Master of Ceremonies Rod Caborn of First Class Fundraising. Wine from Kathryn Kennedy Winery and beer from Peter B’s will be served.
During the awards portion of the program, SOS will honor Ocean Hero of the Year Congressman Sam Farr, Ocean Business of the Year Monterey Signs, and Ocean Volunteers of the Year Dee Tannenbaum and Kenneth Palmer.
The event will conclude with a live music performance by the Monterey Peninsula’s top dance party outfit, The Money Band. Performing hit songs from the 1950s to the present, The Money Band is known for its high energy, onstage charisma, and ability to consistently pack local venues. So bring your dancing shoes!
Cocktail attire is suggested.
