Broadly, the topics that interest me are water, wellness and wildlife -- with a healthy dose of wonder in the mix.
Specifically, I'm interested in learning about how others are creating common knowledge and changing conversations - and the world - for good.

The 8th Annual Blue Mind Summit, scheduled for Oct 4-5th, 2018 in partnership with the recently opened Frost Museum of Science in Miami, Florida, will explore the new science on how being near, in, on, and under water is medicine for the body, mind, and soul.
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – JUNE 8, 2017 For the last seven years thought leaders, top neuroscientists, oceanographers, explorers, educators, psychologists, artists, and sports enthusiasts have gathered in locations all over the world to collaboratively consider the full human connection to our water planet as well as the deeply personal and practical benefits of keeping it healthy.
Blue Mind 8, scheduled for October 2018 in Miami, will feature a Blue Mind Summits collection of “greatest hits” with some of the most impactful researchers and presenters over the past seven years gathered to explore the idea that healthy waters are medicine.
Breakthrough work on how both virtual and real water is changing healthcare, schools, and the workplace, including physicians who prescribe “blue mind” to those who need it most, will be examined.
Pioneers from around the world who are using surf, scuba, paddling, swimming, floating, and fishing as therapy will share their experiences and knowledge.
Organizers will also host the first Blue Mind Media Fest featuring new works that highlight the new story of water as Blue Mind attendees and alumni gather along the richly diverse Miami waterfront.
"Blue Mind is deepening our understanding of the true value of water and expanding the conversation to include the important ways access to healthy oceans and waterways makes all our lives better,” says Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, scientist and best selling author. “In the past we’ve focused exclusively on the ecological, economic, and educational value of water, overlooking the emotional benefits. This Blue Mind Summit will share new practical science on how being near, in, on, and under water is medicine for the body, mind and soul.”
