We have taken the #ALSIceBucketChallenge to the next level. This video is about the Jon Imber Memorial #ALSPaintbucketChallenge.
We challenge artists everywhere to tell the stories of ALS. Perhaps get some of your paints and colors on a canvas or page!
Painter Jon Imber died on April 17, 2014 of ALS, after a fiercely prolific year.
He switched to his left hand when he could no longer pain with his right. Then he moved to painting with a brush connected to a dowel attached to a headset, until he could no longer do that. At which point he said goodbye.
He painted the previous self-portrait in 2013. He leaves behind his wife, painter Jill Hoy, his son, Gabriel Imber, and a remarkable body of work.
Please personally support those with ALS and their families with your time and love. Your financial contributions to finding a cure are important.
(Yes, the color is International Klein Blue)
