SHARKTOBERFEST 2009 A Success For Sharks!
October 16th and 17th, 2009
Sponsored by Sea Stewards and located at the Aquarium of the Bay, hundreds of shark affishinados came out to celebrate the shark and support conservation. The first annual Sharksaver Award was awarded to Jim Toomey, Shark Activist and Creator Sherman’s Lagoon Donors to the Silent Auction included: San Francisco Whale watch tours, The Oceanic Society Farallones Island Excursions, OCSC Sailing, Sea Trek Kayaking, Bamboo Reef SCUBA, Coast and Ocean Magazine, Bay Nature Magazine, Original art by Wyland and Jules Barkley, Bay Club. Thanks to Ukulele Friends Ohana, for live music and hula.
Saturday October 17, Keynote Speech, Where the Wild Things Are by California Academy of Sciences researcher Dr. Wallace J Nichols.
