WHAT: Fabien Cousteau & Dr. Wallace J. Nichols keynote speakers on oceans and climate change addressing delegations and authorities of COP20, during the Presentation of book FRAGILE of “The Living Oceans”â¨
Fabien Cousteau, first grandson of Jacques-Yves Cousteau, ocean explorer, conservationist and film maker, will address delegations of countries attending COP20, authorities of Peru and policymakers on the importance and need for urgent decisions towards Oceans protection within the context of climate change.
The COP 20 is expected to develop the draft of the new agreement to be signed during COP21 in Paris. This will be a great opportunity to bring to the attention of the world the urgency of protecting the Oceans and marine and coastal areas. This includes the protection of the biological diversity, and the extremely vulnerable populations facing the possible devastating effects of climate change.
In this opportunity, Peru it will present the book FRAGILE of “The Living Oceans”, a collection of stunning underwater photographs by the most recognized world photographers. Copies of this book will be presented to government delegations during the meeting.
Wallace J. Nichols, marine advocate, researcher and author of Blue Mind will address the authorities about the important roll and compromise they have for protecting the Oceans and the Blue Planet. He will present and give away the BLUE MARBLES as a symbolic piece of kindness for the Oceans and the planet.
