December 9, 2012 – Yost Theatre 307 N Spurgeon St, Santa Ana, CA 92701
"This generation is the first generation with a decent user's guide to the brain" -Dr. Wallace J Nichols
Registration begins at 11:00 with the IdeaLab opening.
The IdeaLab includes some exciting activities like an Energy booth where students can install blades on wind turbines and see how much power they produce or they can pedal a bicycle and see how much energy it takes to power a lightbulb. Our Boeing Aerospace booth will explore how wind tunnels are used and how to simulate the triangulation of satellite systems. There will be robot exhibits, a photo booth, our Google sponsored booth will include a scavenger hunt without going anywhere and a demonstration of quick YouTube editing.
There will be a Spohn Ranch Skateboard Demonstration. Skateboarding doesn’t have to be destructive. Skateable art makes parks fun for everyone.
With so many fun things to explore, make sure you get there early so you can see it all.
The conference starts at 12:00 with the speakers and performances in session I going until 1:30 when we break for lunch and more time in the ideaLab. You can pre order a box lunch or take advantage of one of several small restaurants in the area. If you can fill your activity card by the end of the break at 2:30, you can enter a raffle for a Toshiba Tablet! (Thanks Toshiba)
Session II begins at 2:30 and ends at 4:30, but the IdeaLab will remain open until 5:30 if there are still some things you want to discover.
