Indeed "Les Bleus" can make you sad. Especially when it's your team losing to the German team in the World Cup, as was the case here in Paris this evening.
The streets were packed with people and city on the edge of eruption but as the final minutes ticked away the mood went from Red Mind, threatening Blue Mind, to decidedly Gray Mind.
Alas, no Blue Mind in the City of Love tonight.
But last night was another story. We enjoyed all of the Blue Mind Paris has to offer: fountains galore, a walk and dinner cruise on the Seine and even a log flume ride at Jardin des Tuileries during the heat of the day. We even attached a Blue Mind lock to the famous "Lovers' Birdge".
Over the years Paris, just like London, has transformed its waterfront. While swimming in their respective rivers isn't recommended, people do spend more time chilling near and on their flowing waters than any time in my life.
Access to a healthy river transforms a city by improving the cognitive and emotional benefits enjoyed by all.
